A?k is a marvelous site and I’d like to spend the rest of my life here but the limitation of 10 minutes for editing is driving me berserk, contrasted to many if not most such Web sites which allow editing for hours or weeks or even indefinitely
Alas if there is no such hope here could someone please recommend another site similar to this one that I might try out
Or, fellas, because I seem like a lone voice in the wilderness how about a vote of participants. At another such site this suggestion resulted in editing time being increased from 1/2 hr to 3 hrs though I would like it to have been longer

I am perfectly happy wiouth the ten minute ed, since I rearly meak misnakes, their is no reason to be overtly concerned with sich funton.

I like the site the way it is.
I dislike most other sites that use the canned php software you seem to want.

Can you point to a post you've written in which you've been unable to scroll in the posting window? I'd like to visualize what it is you are attempting to describe.

I figure the short window on editing keeps us all humble. Got to learn to live with mistakes. Just like the rest of my life, I'm not perfect there and I ain't here neither.

Participants Rock have different habits in this respect. As an erstwhile writer I have spent as long as 2 hrs composing a post during which time it’s necessary to make many corrections, while I sometimes have afterthoughts for hours or days thereafter

Curiously, someone at another forum (one with off the shelf, canned software) with your same username was "suggesting" that the forum needed to remove the edit link on a post after 30 minutes after requesting they extend the editing time from 30 minutes to two hours.

in any case, I think I was asking a reasonable question.
I coul be more direct and simply suggest you return to the forums which have editing options which are more to your liking. I'm considering making that suggestion.

and if the 10 minute thing bothers him, he should prolly completely avoid PMs.
mine look like bill typed them sometimes...
