i had underwent an ultrasonography 2months back and the radiologist had diagnosed as multiple renal stones largest measuring about 10mm. i underwent a repeat scan after 2months which showed renal stone of 24mm. is it possible that a stone can increase in size at such a fast rate. or is it the radiogist mistake that he did not measure properly during my first scan. pls let me know.
You need to talk to your Dr. and see if he/she has these followup test results. Rapid growing kidney stones indicate something and tell what kind of substance they are made of. It is treatable, so relax and talk to your Dr. ASAP. (He/she should be a urologist, of course)
