Why are Christian's Hated by so many people?

Whats up with that?

Seriously, I noticed that Christians seem to be the "The Faith Victom's" of the world, and when you look to some of the arguments that people make now in days, its so convoluted it just doesn't seem to make any sense to me.

Why dose it seem like The ACLU is always attaking Christian's, when their name say's American Civil Liberties Union? Why do the Jew's claim that Christian's hate them? Why dose it seem like people think all Christian's are Catholic?

Wouldn't you love to think so. Given a recent post in another thread in which you were posting, by Acq, i believe, this is really hilarious.

It's not that christians are hated, it's the fanatics . . .

That one was a corker, Boss . . . when ever i've taken the time to talk to bible thumpers who were tryin' to recruit me for their bible study groups, they have universally asserted that Catholics are not christians . . .

Quote:
Chris·tian (krĭs'chən)
adj.
Professing belief in Jesus as Christ or following the religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus.
Relating to or derived from Jesus or Jesus's teachings.
Manifesting the qualities or spirit of Jesus; Christlike.
Relating to or characteristic of Christianity or its adherents.
Showing a loving concern for others; humane.
n.
One who professes belief in Jesus as Christ or follows the religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus.
One who lives according to the teachings of Jesus.
[Middle English Cristen, from Old English cristen, from Latin Chrīstiānus, from Chrīstus, Christ. See Christ.]

I do think though, that certain Protestant groups describe themselves as being Christian, and incorrectly do not include Catholics in their definition.

I respect many Christians, most of whom use traditional spelling and punctuation to present well-reasoned and courteous points of view.

Well, it's probably all those unabashed atheists, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, and Buddhists in the House of Representatives doing their best to malign a meek, peace-loving, and historically downtrodden religious group. Now that the heathens have so firmly taken the rudder of the USS American culture they are intent on sailing Christians right off the edge of the earth, where the dragons be.

Why are Christians hated by so many people?

Sadly, because we deserve it. (sigh)

I'm either not too geeky or not geeky enough to know what RPG is, unless it means "rebounds per game" .....

Most of the mischief in this land is cooked up by professing Christians. I don't hate them; just protecting myself.

Christian theology: nothing so grotesque could possibly be true. In both religion and footfall, honesty is the best policy. Keep it clean. The quarterback sneak and the resurection are trick plays. Can you say "Hail Mary?" Better a cruel truth, a last minute field goal, than a comfortable delusion, Gatorade is not a holy sacrament but it does replenish electolytes.
Tennis anyone?
oh, nevermind, I thought this was the Superbowl is sin thread, everyone back to hating the christians.

Sadly, like many other cults, Christians are inclined to see incidents of animosity as proof they are on the right track.

D & D RPG = Dungeons and Dragons Role Playing Game . . . if i be geeky, i be geeky, i'd rather not be "cool," because i get together with others for the warmth . . .

I mentioned earlier what Acquiunk had written in another thread--this one is the Kjvtrue and God (nearly synonymous terms) both hate the Super Bowl thread . . .

Acquiunk wrote:
This is the clue. This attitude appeals to people who for economic, social, or emotional reasons do not do well in a dynamic culture that is both changing rapidly and requires the acceptance of a diversity of behaviors and view points. The response is to retreat into an idealogy of persecuted superiority. Persons such as kjvtrue do not understand the world but they have an ideology that both confirms their worth, implys their superiority to that world and allows them to judge it, as they feel it is judging, or more likely ignoring them.

His post is timed at 3:56 p.m., this thread has a time stamp of 5:13 p.m.--you saw it here first, folks, Acquiunk has the divine gift of second sight . . .

This post belongs in the clown jokes topic. It is better to keep ones mouth closed and be thought a fool than to open it and prove it.

Most aren't. But the ones who use the religion to espouse their own hatreds (like yours against homosexuals) tend to reap what they sow.

I'm with Craven.

I don't hate Christian's, I just don't agree with their beliefs.
