Does "I'm not ready" (in terms of dating) always mean a rejection?

I was seeing someone for 2 months and out of the blue got this line. I see it as a rejection because it seems so direct. She is going through a divorce (at the end of a 2 year process) and even though that is hard to take it seems if she really cared she could have found other ways to say we need to slow things down.

2 months is nothing. Move on. It's not just about you, it's about her as well.

Maybe she didn't, or maybe you came over as having a big sense of entitlement? Either way, move on.

@tod3,
Not Ready for what? Maybe she's just being cautious.

@tod3,
Don't take it personal, and move on.

Congrats - you are what they call a "transition man.'

You filled your duty.

Now move on.

She may or may not call you back.

When she said she is "not ready" she means she's not ready to settle down with one man and is just now seeing the opportunties ahead.

@tod3,
Yes, she is not ready for new begging. Just live her to think what she really want. Don't pressure her.
