Possible explanations for scratched neck

Ok - this morning when drying my hair, I touched my neck with the very hot part of the hair blow dryer. This is the spot where it is metal and grid-like.

When I looked at it immediately it was just red. So I went in and accused my husband of giving me a hickie (sp?). Now though I went to the ladies room and noticed it actually looks like 3 scratches on my neck (most likely due to the grid-lines on the metal).

No one has mentioned it yet - I figured I could have fun with this. So how should I explain this to curious minds?

@Linkat,
Interesting.

Option 1: It's the mark of the new Fight Club. When the obvious question "What Fight Club" is asked, just respond with, "I've said to much". Stare intently at the person until they become uncomfortable and walk away.

Option 2: You and the Hub have been experimenting with a new technique called the Alpacan Love Bite. When they ask what that is, offer to demonstrate.

Option 3: Chupacabra scratch.

@Questioner,
Great response.
I'll vote for option 2, since I am very fond of alpacas. Well, from several feet away, that is.

@Linkat,
Or, or you received a visit from a vampire with severe neck spasms. You must wear a necklace of garlic and carry a crucifix to complete the effect.

Unfortunately, this is what most people equate with vampires these days.

I'm sad to have lived through this fad.

@Questioner,
The number two is interesting - since once - a bit ago - while I was engaged to my now husband, we preferred a rated PG body shot at a company party - wasn't a full company - just my division. It actually went over very well as my boss' wife loved it. My guess is my boss benefited from that later in the night.

@Questioner,
I know, my daughter has all the Twilight novels as do most of her friends. The author Stephenie Meyer must be rolling in it.

(A funny aside, the photo you posted is the character Edward Cullen who has a sister named Alice and fought in ww1, I have also just described my Grandfather, bar the vampire bit.)

A Bald Eagle attacked you and tried to carry you away. Laughing rushed to hospital straight away, doctors did everything they could but unfortunately the Eagle died.

@eurocelticyankee,
This is quite pausible - it is the type of story I love to provide. And without thinking I wore a turtle neck today - for those that saw my neck yesterday - this could cause quite the stir...
