Be careful of inflection and sounds that you make in the dialect. As I said on a post several years ago when I was working in China,
"I went to a silk market in TAipei and wanted to order some silk yardage for my wife to play with. Instead I ordered a "little boy" .(Apparently the words for silk and little boy sound amazingly close together and almost indistinguishable to our ears)
