I just started taking the forteo, 5 days ago. The only side effect, is a rash around my neck like hives so far. The black box warning regarding rats and getting cancer, you have to keep in mind that rats have a totally different bone structure than we do. There bones grow all the time and ours dont. I would like to hear from other people taking this drug. I am 55 and my bone specialist said I was young to start it, but my bone structure was that of an 80 year person.
