I gotta know!!!

Do you believe in deeper connections? Love or a realization of kindered spirits in first sigth?

I met a man four years ago who I fell for the moment I saw him, an unsual thing for me. We have the most bizzare of encounters but they go no where. I feel like we both show intrest but I have no idea how to take it up a level, I've done some stupid things in an attempt to take it up to that level (lets just say to silly and long winded to explain).

We hardly know eachother, I mean we must have had in the dozens of times I've seen him two real conversations (see he is a rapper and part of a popular local band so clubs are common meeting grounds). i rap ( i preffer the the term rhyme) too and I once shared the stage with him and his DJ. Anyway he is always friendly, he always hugs and kisses me hello, always says how glad he is too see me without fail. i however become nonchalant and try act like he means nothing to me which couldn't be further from the truth. I mean I hug him back but I'm always nonchalant.

Anyway point is how do I break this cylce of idiocy, what do I do??? How can I stop being too nonchalant and not too balant. I'm no screaming fan (he knows- i filmed him twice) so we are in the same industries. Another thing, he is about 10 years older then me, I'm 19 you think this is a problem.

Look I *&(ed things up often enough with him by playing too cool, and I promise you i've never met anyboyd else in these four years (I even had a very serious boyfriend for 9 months in this period) that compares to him.

Hi tagged,

Well, sounds like you don't know him well enough yet to know how people compare. I don't think 10 years older is necessarily a problem, though it might be.

Some of the more suave people here may suggest various tactics, but why not just go for it? Ask him out. From what I know, guys like that.

Good luck!

hey that'a the thing I don't know him well enough and really he's this elusive frikking artistic type, complex in the head. which yes is attractive, but you get me and him together it's two too many complex types. I mean everyone i knows him and vice a versa, but nobody knows him if you get what I'm saying and last night was the closet thing i got from him as being open when he asked me if i was still rhyming and told me if i got the hunger I'll go far. Also he asked what i was studying, how old i was and all that. When I said I'm doing film directing he told me thats what he really wants to do, and that he's ahooting a soap opera at the moment. You must understood it took him four eyars to get to this point.

Well, keep going then! Sounds promising so far, in terms of his interest.

Wait, if you're 19, he met you when you were 15. That could be a big part of it, tagged... 19 and 29, OK, but 15 and 25, uh-uh. Maybe he's just been waiting until you came of age.

maybe but he guessed i was 22. perhaps it was wishful thinking, or perhahps it's the fact that I've been at this for so long (clubbing and rapping) that assumed I had to be older. I asked him why he thought I was 22 and he repleid that I just seemed to know what I'm doing

Could've been fishing, tagged. Like, he'd asked earlier, was told you were underaged, then remembered you were young but wasn't sure how young.

If you like him.....rhyme him a song!!! Or just quit being nonchalant with him and throw suttle hints. Either way relationships always work when you express good communication. Better hurry before someone else comes into the picture. You're still young!!! Live your dreams....don't live a life saying "what if?"!!! Go for it Girl!!!!

Let me just toss a wet towel on this, please?

I mean......what're you so deeply in love with, Tagged, when you've barely had a single conversation with the guy?

It's a silly fantasy, girl!

Go look for a REAL human being.

err okay miss katya, I know this boy in person, it's not like he's some movie star in a poster. I do see him (in fact got his digits) i've wroked with him 3 times but the amount of private conversations we've had yes have been limited and as I said i have been playing the ice queen cos my feelings for him are so strong i freeze like a rabbit in the headlights. So i don't think that i'm in love with the idea here.... I do think i definatley got to get to know him better though.... yes it's a fantasy that he might like me but he's certainley no random individual.

PS thanks for the idea johnathanrose but i won't work he's definatley the more experinced rapper, I the more experinced director.

"I've wroked with him 3 times..."

What's "wroked".....a South African term for sharing car-rides, coffee, literature, or sex?

I'm sorry, Tagged.......I wasn't being clever and I sure didn't intend to insult you.

I see now that you must have meant "worked" but that never occurred to me. I simply read it as a foreign word I was not familiar with, and that's the truth. Honest.
