Yep, it's a bit of all right, to be here. For free. I usually have to pay people to be my friends.

Andy, a2k is only as good as the people who populate it. Many of the people are wonderful. And there are a few mumzas (sp?) in every crowd.

Main reason I started this thread is that I think we all take A2k much too for-granted. Like, it's a website, right? So what? What's the big deal?

I go to a number of other websites and nowhere do I get the quality of companionship and -- when needed -- expertise and advice that I get here. I have a Facebook account. Hardly ever visit it. I, frankly, don't like Facebook. All this 'friending' and 'unfriending' nonsense. Limitation on how many characters you can type in a post. It's like looking at somebody's photo album, somebody you hardly know.

Here I have real friends. A number of you I've met personally and that's always been a great experience. But there are others I've never met in the flesh towards whom I feel a real affection and cameraderie. Thank you all for being here for me and for each other.

And I sincerely want to thank the initiators of this site (Yay, Robert Gentel!!!) and the moderators (Hurrah Jespah!!!)and all the rest of you. I won't name any other names because I'm sure to overlook somebody and then feel badly about it afterwards.
