@Chights47,
Based on general observation, atheist are justified in believing there is no God. Christianity is based upon a lie. The "Gospels" were fabricated at the council of Nicea in 325 AD, a once upon a time story, written around the information available and prophesies concerning the messiah.
Christianity was born out of the belief that Jesus ascended to heaven after his resurrection, and this was the beginning of the Kingdom of God. Christians also believe Jesus laid dead in the tomb for three days before he resurrected. In reality, Jesus cheated death on the cross, and died on Masada at 80 years of age.
These beliefs were based on prophesies concerning the Messiah. After Jesus disappeared (went into hiding), the true believers in the prophesies concerning God's promise of a kingdom came to these conclusions, based on a heavenly kingdom rather than an earthly kingdom. These believers had no way of knowing, the prophesies of the Kingdom of God would not manifest for another 2,000 years.
Jesus didn't ascend into heaven with just a handful of witnesses 2,000 years ago. When he ascends into heaven the whole world will see him.
7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.
8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.
9 And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.
10 And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.
11 And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.
12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.
God became man, so that man can become God, beginning with his two witnesses, then the resurrection of the Children of Light, when they are made manifest. 1 John 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
Revelation 1:18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
Revelation 2:8 And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive;
The world has been left to themselves (in darkness) for 2,000 years.
The creation of reality, and the consciousness thereof, was created to be self sustaining in the absence of God.
Daniel 9
25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.
26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
According to this prophesy, there are 49 years between Messiah being cut off and Messiah the prince. In reality messiah would not appear for another 2,000 years. 2,000 years of God being absent from reality.
All of the prophesies concerning the establishment of the kingdom of God are fulfilled during the final seven years, the 70th week of Daniel 9.
