wah. First Fred, now Bob.
I was very fond of the Captain.
Man I loved that guy!
I remember him being like a grandparent for me.
Children's programming has lost another voice of reason. He and Mr. Rogers were both disgusted by the amount of violence and lack of educational value in today's children's TV.
I have fond memories of his show...Bunny Rabbit,
Mr. Greenjeans, Grandfather Clock, and Tom Terrific.
I watched him when was a preschooler! and I'm now.. (cough, cough) years old.
I really liked Mr Greenjeans.
I still cant believe it....
and yeah..Mr Rogers AND Capt Kangaroo gone????
Its wrong, so wrong.
sniff
I'm Mighty Manfred (Unhg!) the Wonder Dog!
I still thinking about the Dancing Bear sometimes. Anybody else love him, too?
What a loss. I spent every afternoon with the Cap'n when I was young. As Husker said, he was like a grandparent to me. I feel sorry for kids today because their "entertainment" is so devoid of grace and kindness.
Good night, Cap'n.
