@chai2,
Didn't the car have 4 wheels?

If it's the movie I'm thinking of, then I'm sure it did.

I found it! It was Reiner Werner Fassbinder's "Der Kalmar hat zu viele Arme."

This film was about disillusioned youth in postwar Germany. Two teenage boys drive the streets of Berlin at night, hoping to murder a prostitute.

I gotta be the only one on this thread who never saw that flick. Don't remember any of that at all. (But, hey,who knows? Maybe I saw it and I was just high and don't remember any of it now.)

@chai2,
Was the car blue or red? If it was red then I think I saw that movie. But if it was blue, then I'm pretty sure I missed it.

Wait I think I remember the name of the movie.

I think it was The Hunchback of Nortre Dame.

Does that ring a bell with anyone?

@chai2,
Oh wait.
No.

I was thinking of this scene from the Sopranos.

@Ragman,
The Sopranos was full of great malapropisms.

One time Tony was saying something like "I read that book Prince Machabelli, but Sun Tzu is much better about strategy."

@chai2,
There was no car in that movie! It took place prior to cars being invented.

@chai2,
I just saw it last Friday. It's Drive (2011).

The Ryan Gosling character talked to the Albert Brooks character.

Sorry, everyone. My earlier guess was wrong.

Chai is obviously thinking of the classic bit performed by the legendary comedy duo, Marty Allen and Steve Rossi. They last performed this bit on The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour in 1974.

I'm with you on that one. It's the only movie that I haven't seen yet, but I have it on a list "to see". Confused

In the Hunchback - it couldn't be the movie because there were no cars at that the time.
