If the far left continues in their position of hegemony, then private industry will just batten down the hatches for another four years. Socialism cannot coerce captitalism completely; it can just make captialism go into hibernation. That I believe is why the unemployment figures stay up. No one can force business to expand, and hire, if business does not know what negative effect that would have.
