Wow $275.00 for Hugo Boss slacks, plus the cost to get them hemmed, I like Hugo Boss but not that much.
@jcboy,
That's about 9-10 pairs of pants including hemming for me.
Looking up what a pair of Hugo Boss pants looks like.
No mas pantalones
@Ragman,
I saw them at the International Mall in Tampa this afternoon. Nice but not worth that much!
@jcboy,
I think they won't let me in that mall.
chuckling to myself
All kidding aside, I went to that mall last year with my then-g/f. It was fun and some great shops to window shop.
@jcboy,
You wear slacks? I kinda pictured you as the low rise jeans and t-shirt type. You know, casual. Lol
Have you seen his pictures of his house, Gracie. Definitely Savile Row bespoke tailor suits. Class.
@jcboy,
The site I saw showed them for an avg of $ 195. That is 2 x - 3 x greater than I'd pay for 'expensive' pants. However, if someone is setting fire to their budget or someone else is buying...wel-l-ll...?
@MontereyJack,
Nooo, I havent!
Really? Soo weird. I pictured him like super laid back.
@Ragman,
Yeah that's the going price, the International Mall is always much more expensive.
@GracieGirl,
I’m usually the shorts and flip flop kind of guy but not for work.
@jcboy,
Ahhh! So I was sorta right!
@jcboy,
I like Dockers pants. good quality control and the fit is right (luckily for me) Mercy, I've even paid retail for them.
Stylewise, the thing I want to do is to find is a decent stylish, light natural-colored fedora hat that is not pimp daddy.
Online I've found these Goorin Brothers hats that look good at $45-55 ballpark. ui jsut hate to buy a hat that falls apart over the interval of one hot summer.
Any opinions about this hat? It's called 'Goorin Brothers 'Malibu'?. Try this link to see if it can be seen here. I need an opinion of someone that understands style. No one I know does AT ALL.
I'm the one they ask about style, being that I'm a photographer.

then there's this one too called 'Goorin Brothers 'Hammond':

Since men stopped wearing hats all the time in the 50s, we've lost most of our hat nomenclature. What traditionally was called a fedora was the Indiana Jones hat with a much wider brim. Those with the much narrower brim are now being called fedoras too, but they're closer to what used to be called a snap brim, far as I can tell. In any case, the ones you're showing, rag, are really popular among the more stylish young somewhat alt kids, students at Berklee School of Music in Boston are big on them, for example. They look good. Go for it. I've seen ones that look pretty decent at Target, I think for around $18, and I was tempted. You can go try some on and see if you like the look.
Well, today sucked. Things just arent getting better for me.
Yes they are. You just think they aren't (what happened?)
@GracieGirl,
what's up with you, gracie?
@GracieGirl,
Momma told me that there would be days like this, Gracie, and there are. There are todays that suck but the good thing about those todays is that they become yesterdays and tomorrows become better todays.
Got that?
Good. Could you explain it to me now? It was tough having Albert Einstein as a mother. I didn't get a lot of what she said.
In the words of the old song Red Roses for a Blue Lady
It'll be all right. We got your back.
@MontereyJack,
Thanks for your reply. I have been checking Target but the ones they sell either aren't interesting or are ones that won't last too long.
There are those neat wide-brimmed (3-plus-inch) Fedoras (Indy Jones). I'm seeking the medium to narrow-brimmed (about 2-inch) Fedoras. I prefer ones that aren't the skinny-brimmed (less than an inch).
Yeah seems that jazz-loving musicians and urbane tend to wear them. I picture album jackets with wide-brimmed fedoras typically were worn by Leon Redbone and James Taylor. I'm trying to keep from looking too pimp-daddy-like, if you get my drift.
