@hamilton,
All I know is what I googled, so going purely on that, I would suggest taking a cable car up Grouse mountain. I also discovered that Vancouver is very gay friendly. Unfortunately, 'taking a cable car up Grouse mountain,' does sound a bit like a euphamism.

I just hope you have a good time.

Hamilton, I have to sympathize with leaving your friends and living in a new place across the country - I did that when I was thirteen too. I've kept in touch with a couple of those friends for a long time since, but I was eventually happy to be in my new city with a totally different environment and a lot of new (to me) places to explore. Hang in there.

@ossobuco,
i think i will keep in touch. of course, i will have to get use to all the new experiences... but either way, Im both intimidated, and excited by this. I'l be going into highschool, so it's going to be VERY different. not only a new school, but a newneighborhood!

I highly suggest you start (if you don't know already) learning the metric system, as we've had it for some years.

Today, and yesterday, for example, the temperature here (I live 1.5 hours via car from Vancouver) is 27 degrees Celsius. Wink

Heya Hamilton - I'm from Vancouver so ask me any questions you like. One for you - which neighbourhood are you going to be living in? I think you'll have fun. You'll be there for the PNE, you have to check that out.

@George,
Pacific National Exposition, George.
I went to last year's and had a blast.
Got to see Los Lobos and John Hiatt and a great Faux-Beatles review.
My B-I-Law showed me a secret street to park on on a dead end street so it was a pretty short walk.
