@JPB,
Thanks, JPB. My problem was that I couldn't imagine Harvey Keitel in any size except small.

@farmerman,
If I knew what Harvey Keitel looked like, I guess I could comment. Truth be known, I turned 60 in January, so I'm a bit older than you thought. Burly is probably an understatement for a fella that's 6'1", 270. But I do have 18" biceps and 15" forearms - cows will do that for ya over three and a half decades.

You're supposed to treat 'em, not bench press 'em. Smile

@CowDoc,
thinking back on some of your comments on examining them thar critters, I gotta wonder if there's lots of cross-eyed cows wandering around near Pocatello...

@Rockhead,
Pocatello's outside my range - must be some other guy down there causing that.

@CowDoc,
HA, all my vets are guys that have developed pretty decent 'ceps from handling big animals.
I turned 60 this past year also so I was guilty of age determinism.

Its funny that all my vets (New Bolton people use us as a training herd and my regular vet is a large animal dude whose office is a Ford 450 D) He can palm a beach ball his hands are huuge However, all the lady vets are teeny little things . IS there any correlation?

Wouldn't they be better off using your cattle?

@farmerman,
For the last ten or fifteen years, new graduates from vet school have been almost seventy percent female. Most of them are simply physically unable to handle the stress of bovine medicine. Sadly, most new grads, male or female, want to work exclusively in small animal or equine fields, because it involves much less work for considerably more pay. It's getting harder and harder to find vets who will do food animal work, and their fees are rising quickly and dramatically. I find it professionally distasteful, but I appear to have joined the dinosaur club some time ago.
