Vinnoy Rennaisance? At the Marriott?

That's the place, I heard it was vacant for many years and at one point they were going to tear it down but it's now completely remodeled and beautiful inside!

@jcboy,
Pretty cool. I heard something similar. Being still new to the area (18 months at the end of Sept), it's still a trip for me seeing some of these 'hot-spots'. I always can enjoy a little people watching.

It was costing me $55.00 every seven days in gas to fill up the Murano. When I picked up the Sonata it had a full tank, I’ve driven it a week now and have just a little under a half a tank. Sweet!

@jcboy,
Find out your tank capacity, and see how many gallons it takes to fill when the gauge shows 1/4 tank. Just a word to the wise.

@roger,
I never thought of that. It does tell me how many miles to the gallon I’m getting and in the city it varies from 22 to 34. The Murano did the same but I never seen it go over 18 in the city.

@jcboy,
I would love to have a mileage gauge, though riding a bike gives me a pretty good idea of what it takes to accelerate a vehicle.

@roger,
HAHAHA, my favorite past time. Living in Ca my bike was left in the garage for three years, too hilly to ride, but here in St. Pete I love it! So many bike trails, no hills, although hotter then all heck.

@jcboy,
About a week ago a light came on in the car that looks similar to this (!) I wasn’t sure what it was so I just ignored it.

Well don’t ignore it, it means you have a nail in your tire and you’re getting a flat. It’s a tire pressure warning light. Who would have thought!

@jcboy,
Oh, that's nothing. My car has manuel transmission. Anyhow, I quickly noticed a lighted arrow that came on at intermittant intervals, and assumed it was there so I would know which way I was going, or something like that. I finally checked the manual and discovered it was hinting around that at that point I could get better fuel mileage by upshifting. The way gas prices are moving, I'm going to start paying more attention.

@roger,
Mine has something like that too, I wondered what that was for.

Speaking of gas prices, we have a supermarket here called Winn-Dixie. When you shop there and use their card you save money on gas at shell stations. You can save up to 1.00 per gallon depending on how much you spend. A few weeks ago I filled up and got .50 cents off each gallon, and the last time it was .85 cents off! Not bad. So far I’m only up to .30 cents but when I have to fill up next week I should be close to .85 again, makes a big difference.

@jcboy,
You can cook and bake. I'll do the driving and keep track of the vehicle maintenance details. Best we stick to our strong suits eh Very Happy

(it's kind of how it works here IRL)

@ehBeth,
That’s fine with me, I hate keeping track of vehicle maintenance, I usually wait for the dealer to send me the notice in the mail when its time to bring it in, now I better find out what I did with that notice. Shocked Cool

@jcboy,
We have a deal like that with Smith's Grocery and also tied to Shell stations. The good part is that Smith's is usually the price leader on gas regardless of the discount. Couple of days ago, I filled up at $3.19 while everyone else in town was at $3.65. The disappointment is that they have a limit of fifteen gallons. Furthermore, my tank only holds 9.5 and I never let it get below 8 gallons. Sometimes, that means I can save a whopping big .80 - hardly a big percentage of the total cost.

Bethie - Pffffft!

@roger,
That’s kind of like ours only its up to 20 gallons and it’s a one-time usage. So the last time Marco and I drove our cars together and filled both up.

@ehBeth,
I drive on roads. Quite a bit lately, but hardly ever put in more than the tank will hold. Call it "a guy thing."
