For kicks, I clicked on the chat button under quick links yesterday. It was really eerie - no one was there. I was talking by myself.
Then today - I went and checked and someone asked "Is anyone there?" I responded still no one. It is like a Steven King novel in there.

Until you mentioned it I didn't even remember it was there.
I don't know if I'd ever been there before, it reminds me of something.

Many of us couldn't access chat, including me. I forgot all about it.

I checked on it twice in the past 5 months or so. Always empty as well.

It's a silly site. Don't know why I'd want to frquent it.
There was a big run on using chat something like six months ago. It worked well enough for some of us, and didn't for others. There was a fix for it not working (I forget what it was) but the people who had the problem with scroll jumping around never stayed long enough to hear/see what the rest of us had found would fix it, or couldn't see it if they did. Lots of complaints ensued.
So, we generally gave up on it.
The developers will likely fix it sometime.

Once again it is empty. Missed this recent activity while watching an episode of Star Trek.
They need to add a list of whomevers presently logged onto the chat room on the side. Can't be too difficult to program such an all too common feature.

This thread inspired me to try chat again for the first time in months.
There didn't appear to be anyone there, but some folk obviously had been & gone (I guess) .....
The problem is, you don't know if they were there a couple of minutes ago or half an hour ago, because there are no times attached to the posts.
Oh well ...
Very quiet night on A2K.
Think I'll go & watch the first two episodes of the Sopranos.

The chat thing is frightening. I just checked and scrolled all the messages, my last visit was back on Thursday and my posting is still there. Apparently the messages never leave...

Well, Reyn, you must remember who posted that -- only one of the more unpleasant personalities on this site.
Its strange - some one cleared out all the chat stuff - once I posted this there was stuff straggling in - here and there.
Now just graciegirl.
I think it is her - she seems like a nice young lady ---- but who knows what she is capable of....
