Why do I keep getting a configuration error message on my PC, and how do I fix it?

I have an IBM Thinkcentre tower with Intel processing and it runs on Windows XP. Every time I turn my PC on I get an error:

ERROR:

0162 : Configuration Error- Default Configuration Used.

It is a little annoying - I should be able to go on to use Windows right away but it takes a while before I can use my PC - I usually push F2 and "My Home" on my keyboard and that usually frees it up before the icon screen shows up.

How do I fix my PC so that the configuration error screen doesn't keep showing up? What series of commands do I need to follow when I go into Configuration Settings? Please help.

I think the best thing to do is contact the manufacturer regarding this.
