You want to take away our freedom to be free of the fear of falling ill. I prefer our freedoms thank you.
Your reasoning is FAULTY.

Firstly: please confirm that Englishmen no longer get sick
and therefore thay have no fear of heart attacks, strokes, etc, etc.
i.e., no fear "of falling ill".

Secondly: please confirm or deny that in England, with socialized medicine,
a subject must wait a long time to be treated. Yes or no ?

Thirdly: Permit me to point out
that fear is an emotion; u have the power to select
which emotion (if any) u wish to experience.
Fear is one of many options of emotions, not necessarily the best choice.

We do not wish to control your emotions, Izzy.

On the other hand,
it seems to ME (tell me if I am rong)
that when an emergency arises, an Englishman
wishes to CONTROL its outcome so that he will survive.

Every predatory event is a contest of power.
U wish to concede a monopoly of power to the PREDATOR.
In contrast, I want the victim to WIN and to defeat the predator.
He must possess the necessary emergency equipment to succeed.
U woud sabotage his defensive ability; u r in partnership with evil.

Thank God for small favors. I work for a good company and I have insurance for my family. I guess that is just a sign of personal responsibility

Ooh, lessons in responsibility from the country whose sub-prime mortgages caused the financial meltdown. I think it's highly irresponsible to trust my loved one's wellbeing to dodgy insurance companies and the vagaries of the economic climate.

We pay higher taxes to make sure the rights of rich and poor are respected. It's called social responsibility, the sign of a mature nation, and it leads to lower crime rates, perhaps you should try it sometime.

What does the govt and sub-prime mortgages have to do with MY personal responsibility in taking care of my family? You missed the PERSONAL part of the statement.

Dodgy? I haven't had an issue with my insurance company. My son has a preexisting condition and he is covered with no issues. This was prior to Obamacare mandating such coverage. He was able to get his hearing implant without a catch. My wife was able to have a hysteroctomy this summer with no issues from the insurance company, and she didn't have to wait for months to have it done either. Why should the govt have a say in my insurance or medical treatment?

You pay higher taxes and get slower service. How long would a woman have to wait in the UK for the same operation my wife had? It wasn't an emergency situation, so how long for a non-emergency surgery?

So socialized medicine leads to lower crime? Please explain this one.

Sorry you don't like the facts. You always have something to say, but can never answer a question. You can play your "I'm taking my ball and I'm going home" all you want to, but you can't deny you have the inability to answer a question.

It's not facts. I've given you those, our homicide rates are lower and our health care is better. Here's the latest figures. I'm not going to discuss my family's experience of the NHS, but I am more than satisfied.

I still don't want to talk to you, it's pointless more than anything else. People like you are convinced your country is the best place in the World to live, and you're outraged that others don't think the same. I really hope your career goes well, and you don't suffer the indignities of inadequate health cover, that some of your less fortunate countrymen have to deal with.

Granted pretty much all of what I read about the English health system is anecdotal, but pretty much 100% of the anecdotal accounts are horror stories. You have to assume there is a reason for that.

It has not earned my respect, particularly.

Yeah, the reason is that you read reports that selectively choose to highlight problems for political reasons. There was a woman outraged by Fox News interpretation of her story.
