Oh my beloved...

I can't find the full clip where The Mahdi points out he has the mole and tooth gap of The Prophet.

Ignore the comments of the Philistine who posted this clip on Youtube.

Olivier was fantastic.

Watch this clip and know that it was much longer in the film and not once does Olivier blink!

Can't find a clip with the best part of this scene: After all but wiping out the band of Crows, Jeremiah chases down the last one that has run from the scene of carnage and falls to his knees and sings his death song.

@Finn dAbuzz,
I call that bold talk for a one eyed fatman-version 2

I liked the original, but Ridgway Colorado ain't Arkansas, Texas, at least, is closer--so is Mattie. My vote is for the Coens.

@raprap,
Jeff Bridges is the only actor out there currently that can handle John Wayne's Rooster Cogburn.

I read that the Coen brothers drew their inspiration from the book, not the John Wayne movie. For me Jeff Bridges will always be the big Lebowski.

This film was banned in the UK until after Kubrick's death. I saw the RSC version at the Barbican, written by Burgess, and starring Phil Daniels as little Alex. The main difference between the two, is that in the film Alex is happy going back to a life of 'ultra-violence.' In the book and the stage version he grows up, and becomes disillusioned with the whole thing.

Kubrick was also banned in France.

One of my top 10 movies.

Speaking of the Coen Brothers: this was not their best film but here are my favorite scenes from it.

@Shapeless,
The Coen brothers create more than their fair share of memorable scenes.
Fargo is jam packed with them.
