Yes, Waterdude, everybody knows what you are. You don't have to spell it out.

Now why don't you just trot on down to a nearby zoo and hand feed the polar bears. I hear they're endangered and I've been told they like grapes.

First, it was renaldo dubois who fell victim to raprap's rapier wit and unrelenting logic; and now he's history. Is H2O MAN next? Only time will tell ... Sad

25 rounds?
I dearly loved the M 14, but if memory serves me, it had 20 round mags.
U got an extra 5 rounds ?

@OmSigDAVID,
All I am willing to concede about the M-14 is that it was better than the M-1. The photo doesn't look familiar, probably because I'm not current on civilian versions of military weapons. I kind of looks like there is a flashlight strapped under the barrel. That could just be my imagination.

@OmSigDAVID,
I certainly don't miss the eight round clip (NOT magazine) that can't be topped off after a few rounds are fired. I don't miss the legendary M-1 Thumb, but the piece of crap I was issued in Germany had a minor failing. On field exercises with blank cartridges, the extractor popped out. It just takes something out of your military spirit when you have to run around saying "Bang Bang". I mean to say it's in no way a morale builder.

@raprap,
Yeah but a grizzly can reach pretty far up - if you climb a tree to avoid a grizzly better make sure you can climb pretty high.

@OmSigDAVID,
The 25 round USGI M14 magazine has been available for a few short years.
They have proven themselves totally reliable over in the sand box and I have had zero problems with mine.

16.25" barrel, SAGE EBR stock with AR receiver extension tube.
I mounted the Scout light on the 9 o-clock rail, but it can be mounted on the 3 or 6 o-clock rail.
The barrel is made for military use, but they have not been fielded yet.
The SAGE EBR stock has been used by the US military since 2004... Google MK14 Mod 0, Mod 1, Mod 2 and M14EBR-RI.

All three of these are M14s

@H2O MAN,
The only problem with M-14's is that they're not a really good weapon to hunt with--semiautomatic weapons encourage shooting a lot of rounds, which tends to ruin the meat. That is unless you're going to use them exclusively for hunting 2 legged snakes. If so, your prey may have one of these.

or these

At which point once you make your appearance known, you and your modified M-14 are toast.
