Hi everyone.. I posted a thread here a short while ago but it was deleted since I included a link to the site I got this text off of. Embarrassed Sorry about that.

Anyhow.. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what this language is? I would really appreciate it, thanks. Smile

some words/phrases:
-autor (might mean "author"? since it was above the names in a forum)
-Powrot do glownej strony forum dyskusyjnego
-kontakt
-Pomoc techniczna
-Skontaktować się z nami można również poprzez wypełnienie poniższego formularza

I believe it's Polish, as it's from a Polish web hosting site. I don't speak the language though, so I could be wrong.

I speak Polish, yes it is Polish, and I can traslate it if you would like me to:

Is it true that Polish is very consistent in how the spelling relates to the pronounciation of words? To anyone not Polish, it certainly looks like sczome ckiynd of coudewzx.

Might be the same with English and someone, who never saw/heard it before? :wink:

In my opinion, English is not very consistent in how the spelling relates to the pronounciation of words at all.
I hear quite a lot of english, which is why I know how to pronounce most words, but if I see a word I've never seen before, it's quite hard to predict what it'd have to sound like.

Take for example the word 'steak'.
I know how to pronounce it, but you can't know it just by looking at the spelling.
There are words like 'leap', 'make', 'keen'... you just have to know...
