Boo-hoo. Try your 79th birthday.

You too? My 79th comes in September.

My 85th came 9 days ago!

The aches in the morning are getting real! I've had to cut down on my golf.

@Frank Apisa,
I take a cane with me on my walks. And I use it. I tried knee braces but on me they inflict more damage than good. A consequence of 23 years of running all day on concrete and moving heavy objects over stairs.

“Nothing can stop you from thinking. The human mind is designed to think continually. Something I wrote quite a few years ago was, ‘The voices in my head, they don't care what I do, they just want to argue the matter through and through.’” – ‘Interview’ magazine, November 1995

“You could give Aristotle a tutorial. And you could thrill him to the core of his being. Aristotle was an encyclopedic polymath, an all time intellect. Yet not only can you know more than him about the world. You also can have a deeper understanding of how everything works. Such is the privilege of living after Newton, Darwin, Einstein, Planck, Watson, Crick and their colleagues.

I'm not saying you're more intelligent than Aristotle, or wiser. For all I know, Aristotle's the cleverest person who ever lived. That's not the point. The point is only that science is cumulative, and we live later.”
― Richard Dawkins

“Despite my firm convictions, I have been always a man who tries to face facts, and to accept the reality of life as new experience and new knowledge unfolds it. I have always kept an open mind, which is necessary to the flexibility that must go hand in hand with every form of intelligent search for truth.”

@edgarblythe,
David Icke, really?

This is the same David Icke who said Cuba would sink beneath the waves before the end of 1999. He has also claimed that the Queen is a shape shifting lizard, the illuminati rule the Earth, the moon landings never happened and that he is Jesus Christ.

He’s Builder’s go to source for bollocks.

@izzythepush,
I don't know Icke because I don't follow the people that follow him, apparently. I do subscribe to the quote, just not some idiot's interpretation of what it means.

@edgarblythe,
You’re not British, you didn’t witness Icke’s complete meltdown.

Just before the 97 general election which Labour won, the Greens were riding high in the polls. Icke was a prominent member already having a profile as a BBC sports commentator.

Then he proclaimed he was Jesus Christ and the Greens were dead in the water.

It was later on that he appeared on Wogan and predicted that Cuba was about to do an Atlantis.

What is this information that Icke's referring to, "alternative facts," à la Kellyanne Conway?

I can only repeat that I don't subscribe to the man, just agreed with an isolated quote.
