I've read the ones where you, at least twice, defended the illegal invasion of Afghanistan, Ed. That isn't a war, that's a war crime.

I reluctantly accepted it, because Ben Laden was there and because they were not going to go another route, no matter what anybody thought. I did not approve a long term commitment, but a quick action aimed at Bin Laden. When the focus became Iraq, they totally screwed both situations.

binLaden or anybody else being there does not give a country the right to illegally invade a sovereign nation. That is a war crime.

And so what if bin Laden was there. He was the usa's guy for years, used to heap more pain and suffering on the afghan people.

The USA contains untold numbers of war criminals and terrorists. Does that give any country the right to flaunt international law?
