It definitely seems logical to enable people to make their own end of life choices. As I understand it, the criticism against Kavorkian was that he was (allegedly) too eager to help people die who were not really terminally ill and not necessarily in 'need' of such drastic measures.
I did not follow the details of his story very closely, and, as a result I'm unsure if he was a hero or some sort of ghoulish person. I'm inclined to think the former but I'd like to hear what others have to say.
