Hello!
Can you tell me whether in the phrase "to catch (one) with one's pants down" "with one's pants down" is an absolute construction or not???

@Olika,
It means someone has been caught completely unprepared. Totally surprised. You can't expect someone with his pants around his ankles to immediately spring into action.

I don't know about 'absolute constructions'.
