Well, i don't think that there is one true meaning of love because the feelings of it that people may experience are all different and we share different feelings for different people. example: you may love two or more different people but the connection between you and one of them is never exactly the same as what you feel for another.

My definition of true love: The feeling you have when you care for a person very strongly and would do anything, and be anything for the one you love. You think that you can't possibly love them anymore than what you already feel and you will care for them no matter how they look or what happens. You will stop at nothing to be with them and will always fight for them.

This definition doesn't really cover all the things that love can be and doesn't really describe it just because there are no words that can possibly be even close to what it is, but I hope it helps. It's a unstopable and powerful force that pulls you to someone and makes you stay connected to them; nothing can break the pull. In shorter words, it is the best thing that the world has to offer, but could also be the worst. And even more simple... it can build you up, but can break you down just as easy.
