@OmSigDAVID,
Hate to screw with your most cherished fantasy, but simple denial is not a very good argument. Your case against death is SO weak that even a person (viz. myself) who wishes it were true can't buy it.

I was making an assertion,
not crafting an argument.
I need not convince u of anything.

That does not change the facts of the matter.

Neither your faith nor your skepticism will do me any good whatsoever.

@OmSigDAVID,
Yes, you were making a fantastical assertion. It was no argument, to speak of.

Are you saying that I have "faith" in my inevitable death, and that your belief in immortality is based on "the facts of the matter" is not a massive denial?
Wow!

Was I SUPPOSED to raise an argument??
Have I a duty to convince u of anything???
I think I don't.

I did not SAY it, but that appears to be the case.
From your posts, u seem to think that u r a human BODY;
i.e., that there is a loss of u whenever u shave or leave a barbershop.

It IS a denial, based upon my having left my human body a few times
and seen him functioning, at some distance from the REAL me.
Many people have had that happen; its kinda fun.

@OmSigDAVID,
I think that phenomenon is explained more substantially by neurology.

Seriously, the most important thing to know is that
Virtue is its own reward. (It feels great to do right)
and
Evil is its own punishment (How would you like to live in Hitler's head?)

@JLNobody,
You can do better than that! Look at all those tyrant heads of state of today who will kill their own people to keep control of the government.

U wish that your ego were even half the size of mine! (Multiple be the chuckles!)

@OmSigDAVID,
I agree with that. That's why I get plenty of sleep, keep stress to a necessary minimum, eat well, and exercise. I do believe that health promotes longevity but not denial of mortality.

@JLNobody,
So according to you it is impossible for life to exist after death because you are not aware of it . Ever been to the far side of the moon ? It exists, doesnt it ?

@hamilton,
He just lacks what is commonly called logic.

@cicerone imposter,
Actually, I would not accuse David and Ionus of being "illogical"; they are exercising a different logic, THEIR logic. I try to take a very liberal stance and see their thinking as that of a different culture.
