@cicerone imposter,
As someone who has answered present, here or Sir ! depending on which parade it was, I understood and was puzzled no one else did . I guess you can take the man out of the army but you cant take the army out of the man . I eventually worked out why they didnt get it .

I wouldn't go around admitting things if I were you . That's the most important thing in life... and saying it was that new guy who doesn't speak english... or it was like that when I got here... Make them prove it was you !

@hamilton,
No, his explanations as to why he is not at fault are too lengthy and lack any credibility . Mine are pithy .

@djjd62,
Abstinence ? You have to do all that for abstinence ? No wonder I abstained from abstinence and jumped in recklessly .

Sorry if this is a bit too epistemological, but if I knew just one thing for absolutely sure, that would be an improvement over the current situation.

hmm... well your not a sun

If scientists are correct, then everything I am was formed in a sun, so...where do you draw the line? Is labelling things more than a convention?

Know that a bad plan is one that cannot be changed.

@JLNobody,
I think it was Eisenhower who said, "in war, plans are useless but the planning process indispensable" .

@JLNobody,
It is a common saying that comes in many variations. I think it means that you must have a plan of action so everyone knows what to do, and so that everyone has the confidence that the warmachine is well oiled and working as well as it can, but at the same time remember that nothing ever goes as planned in war.

Yes, and I suppose it suggests that we are on THIS side of chaos.

@JLNobody,
I think we get involved in wars on the other side of chaos. There is always a guarantee that there will be mistakes made; we cross that line when we engage in war whether we initiate it or for defensive purposes.

The unfortunate part of war is that innocent people always gets killed and maimed.
