What do you do with a drug addict headed to prison? He is so out of control, he is on steroids, pain meds, Xanax and who knows what else. This has to be the worst thing ever.
@Endoftheline,
We have no idea what kind of a relationship you have with this guy. Is he your son? Your Dad? Your brother? Your boyfriend? Your neighbor's husband who occasionally mows your lawn?
There's counseling available to the family members of addicts, usually this is on an AL-Anon style model. The courts can also order rehab and you may be able to get some counseling through them as a part of this man's treatment.
@jespah,
Ah I just looked at your other post, and now know that this is your son.
Have you tried talking to his CO? I am sure that this is not the first time that they have seen a drug addict in the Armed Forces. Surely there is counseling available for family members. See about availing yourself of it, particularly if you can get into a group situation and talk to other mothers who are in the same position with their children. You are not alone.
Soldiers have random drug tests all the time.
I don't get it. He could not hide a big drug habit like the one you described.
Is he in prison - or in the armed forces?
Please be more clear.
