It's an ill sneeze that blows nobody no good.
Local media is reporting experiments conducted at the University of Newcastle have shown a common cold virus is effective in treating melanomas. Research was based on a preliminary study in which cancer cells were exposed to numerous nasties to identify effects. A common cold virus was found to be fatal to melanoma cells. Trials have been carried out on animals and humans. It is reported the virus, which multiplies at the original site of treatment, hitches a ride on red blood cells and attacks other melanomas in the host.
