@RexRed,
What makes statistics on inequality in the US so interesting is how the conservatives continues to believe taxation is a shift of wealth from the rich to the poor. Their battle cry is "no taxes!" All while the wealthy gets richer and the middle class falls into poverty.

Guess what? Many conservatives fall into the falling middle class, and they can't see the obvious that their pay and benefits have been stagnant for three decades, cost of everything goes up, and college tuition becomes impossible.

@cicerone imposter,
Yes, C.I. . It depends on whom you ask. I seriously doubt if it will remain very long, at least in any democratic form

@JLNobody,
As long as the rich are able to give unlimited amounts of money to politicians nothing is going to change.

@RABEL222,
I found it humorous when congress had the CEO of Apple appear to ask him questions on why they pay so little tax. They don't even realize they're the ones who make tax laws.

@cicerone imposter,
CI. You need to look up the definition of humorous as opposed to sad. Looks good to the citizens when one of these jokers asks why does joe blow have to pay a higher percentage of his $40,000 salary than Apple. Plays real good in the south.

@RABEL222,
It's not only Apple; Warren Buffett pays less % taxes than his own secretary.

Congress still doesn't "get it." When they have to ask the CEO of Apple, it only proves how stupid they are!

@RexRed,
Capitalism doesn't work for everybody. Nor does socialism, but capitalism provides more incentives to improve one's economic standing within the framework of capitalistic countries. Man still hasn't created the perfect economic system, but I would guess it would be some combination of capitalism and socialism.
