I used to know this guy ever since we were kids and had a crush on him. Back then I was not the most stunning girl, but now things have changed. He's changed a lot too (not as handsome as he was) but still am attracted to him. After 20 odd years I bumped into him at a hospital were he had an operation. He asked me for my number and even called me to make sure I had his number. I told him I look forward to seeing him once he was out, but nothing ever since. Anyone's got any clues as to what the deal is with this?
@Ramma,
He's probably comfortable in the life he's created over the past twenty years and decided to stick with that.
Too bad for him.

@Joe Nation,
Thank you! All the best to you too.
Have you ever seen the movie "He's Just Not That Into You?"
Yeah. You should watch it.

or dead?
He just decided not to call you, that's all.
I'm curious to know why hasn't anybody in this thread, in this age of sex equality, asked "Why haven't you called him?" You have his number (he made sure that you had it, you told us this) but you just sat there waiting for him to call. How do you know he wasn't waiting to see if you were interested enough to press a button on a phone? if it was me I would have at least called him & suggested a coffee.
@contrex,
There ya go. Well said. Why is it the guy's responsibility to make contact?
Call him, Ramma. Several times an hour. Until he gives in to your demands and bows to your will. Just kidding. But still, give him a buzz and see what's up. Couldn't hurt...
@contrex,
I thought that but was too lazy to go back and check the post to be sure she hadn't.
@Bella Dea,
nope, haven't seen it!
Does it sound like this???
@ossobuco,
Yeah, being rather good-natured, I thought about this....maybe he hasn't recovered yet.
@chai2,
hope not dead! God forbid!
Maybe he decided not to....acceptable!
@contrex,
fair point, but I like some things to be done in the traditional fashion. I'm a hopeless romantic! And like I said there was a little bit of history, so although I am in the verge of sounding selfish (which i'm not!), I'd rather him call me...at the end of the day the last thing said was "when you're out, give me a call and we can arrange to go for coffee"
@Ramma,
It's about how women continue to hang on the hope that a guy will call or whatever, even though he clearly isn't. It's about waiting around for someone who is just not that into you.
Cute movie but it really does have a valid point. If he hasn't called, maybe he won't be calling. Either call him or don't worry about it and move on. Maybe he'll call. Maybe he won't.
@Bella Dea,
Thanks Bella!
I will watch it...on a girlie night in!:-)
I am not worried, not anymore. The only thing that bugs me when such things happen is "why"? I didn't initiate anything, didn't ask him anything and definitely didn't push for anything. So why the cherade?
@Ramma,
He wants to be with you..
