Why should the tea party get all the tea?

For the good of the country, the environment and ourselves join the Green Tea Party. They pledge to protect individual liberty, dispose the garbage into a environmentally approved landfill and develop new, green technologies.

Throw out that black corporate tea of the existing tea party, join the green tea party.

It hasn't been corrupted by republican pols--- yet .

@raprap,
The disposal of garbage is not nearly the problem of creating far too much of it; and a good start at the problem of creating too much of physical garbage is the production of mental garbage... Small minds and little intellects only delay our solutions to the real problems that plague us... Look at the reference to tea party, which is, in fact, a reference to our own pre-revolutionary times... Even in those days the argument against the king's right to tax was specious... The legality of the resistence to the king was proved by his inability to enforce his rules... It was the fast fish theory of property rights, that what you have you own... The problem with the tea party is simple... Revolutions were made, in America, and in England out of the desire to recapture the old constitution, and the rights thought to be connected with it... But no one can recapture the past by the direct route... One must embrace the future and bring the best part of the past into it...

Jefferson, in the declaration, owned up to the deep conservatism that always makes change so unlikely... And yet, if people will survive, and not be trashed by their old forms of government, economy, or religion, then they must revolt, and renew their societies through revolutionary changes of form... That is the story of all human progress... There is no mystery to it... There is no mystery to history... What was said long ago in regard to the Greeks, that man mankind is constant in history, and that human nature does not change is very much true... Most of what we are we cannot change, so we adapt to reality with a change of our forms, and for this reason Jefferson refers to forms in the Declaration....

Forms fail human kind on a regular basis, and as much as we would like to have the past all over again, that is not an option... The tea party wants society as they imagined it was, and it never was that way... They said all men are equal, and defined many out of their manhood... They will not drag many people into their version of the past no matter how hard they try..

This country, established as a commonwealth, a republic is every day less representative of the people, and is ever more representative of the rich... We will not remain as we are... Change calls to us as no one would talk to their mothers... Only an understanding of forms will allow us to see clearly what we are doing, and what is our goal...

@Fido,
Agreed--corporate America has created a disposable economy--new cars, bottled water, more garbage---granted disposal is only part o the problem but it is a significant part.
