@jcboy,
I see that he is! He has good taste and a winsome smile.

Some years ago, I rescued a turtle in Upstate NY.
He had a long neck; maybe 14 inches.
He was standing on double yellow lines in a road. ( Rt. 9O )
I passed him; then I turned around and came back.
I parked, went into the middle of the road,
picked him up by the rear of his shell,
out of reach of his mouth, and I lifted him over to the side of Rt. 9O
onto a wet farmer's field, near an irrigation ditch. (It had rained.)
I left him to pursue his chosen endeavors. I was not set up to take care of him in NYC.

He is probably frolicking around up there now.

@OmSigDAVID,
Henry and Harry are loving their new tortoise pen. The only thing I did wrong was not make the opening large enough, I will have to fix that within six months from now.

@jcboy,
Ah, I can see that Henry's shell is almost to big to get through the opening...
Are they eating basil?

@CalamityJane,
Actually that’s hibiscus leaves, they love it! In their house I have it lined with hay, they eat that too!

When Henry is standing up his shell almost touches the top, he won’t be able to fit through in a few months but I can easily cut the opening.

@jcboy,
It almost looked like a bushel of basil Smile
Yeah, you can build an arch for them, much easier to pass through then.

U gave them a grand Treasure Trove, Morgan.
I hope that u had a suitable Housewarming Party for them.

I saw on National Geographic Wild TV
that a youthful hippopotamus adopted a nice tortoise.

@EqualityFLSTPete,
YES; I sure hope that each of them
is being supported in proper luxury & suitable elegance.
Has Hugh Hefner been consulted in this matter ?

@CalamityJane,
He sure did. He takes care of them everyday, except the weekends when we're home. He loves the animals, even the turtles Smile

@MMarciano,
I have wild turtles.

they are actually kinda pleasant little creatures. as long as you are careful not to get peed on when you pick them up...

(wild turtles is kinda like wild senior citizens. not very wild)

Thank u, Marco.
I have always been a rather pro-turtle fellow.
I just can 't help loving them.
( How old r thay now ?)

I love your picture, except that my artistic sense
is a little shocked at the decapitation of the human face.
Any chance of a larger picture ?

( Of course, I understand that the goal
was to show how our beloved turtle friend is FLOURISHING )
