It weird yesterday, like the cold front was a surgical strike. It was 38 in Somerville, where we ran yesterday. In Roxbury, which is less than 10 miles away, it was 68. At the same time.

@jespah,
I was once sitting at a long red light, had to go through 2 cycles of it due to heavy traffic.

During that time the driver and I watched the temperature gage plummet something like 15 degrees, as a cold front hit.

Wild stuff.

A few years ago, in the Bronx,
I was in a SMALL parking lot; maybe 1OO foot square.
On about 1/2 of it, it was raining torentially.
The other half, where my car was parked was dry.

Tortoises have magical powers to produce strange weather patterns.

Everyone knows that.

@jcboy,
A lot of people here have short hair dogs like greyhounds and chihuahuas. Ususally I'll see them in doggie coats when out in weather like this.

This morning it was 36 when I left the house at 8:30am, and saw someone walking their chihuahua naked! (the dog, not the man)

Those little dogs lose body heat so fat, I didn't like seeing that.

@OmSigDAVID,
It finally warmed up enough to let the tortoises out. They’ve been trapped inside for a week. They can stay out all day but will have to come back in tonight when the temperature drops.
