Today's photo: A simple clump of dirt

Bold, magnificent.... powerful.

Those were the words that crossed my mind when I first laid eyes on this magnificent clump of dirt.

I believe this particular specimen was found in the Magdeburg District of East Germany. Perhaps I should contact Walter and get his insight.

But, for now, please take the time to examine this clump of dirt.

I didn't even notice the gold coin. So busy was I studying the granular patterns of the dirt that the coin was lost to my eye.

Looks like a top from one of those old milk bottles. You should examine this more closely before publishing Gusta. Id say you have a haploudult there, could be wrong but Im goin out on a haploudult limb here.

#1 - my first thought was it looks like a peiceash*t to me...but I could be wrong. It's happened once before.


#2 - on closer and further examination.....still looks that way - but it always put me in the mind of a meteor or some sort of space rock hurtling through space toward the earth...

It looks like peat, not dirt. It kinda has that whole fibrous thing going on. Good choice, gus. I for one need a little mystery in my life.
