Child 10 ate popcorn 14 days after surgery. should there be concern
@ealles,
why would you be concerned???? It's 2 full weeks after surgery. Is she complaining?
I was given ice cream and other mush for the first two days so that the initial healing could take place, but after that, crunchy food (cornflakes, crispy toast)was on the menu at least once a day. The idea being that it would help clear away any unwanted gunk in the throat, thereby lessening the risk of infection.
I was eight at the time, and had no problem with wolfing it down.

When I was eight, following a tonsilectomy I was also made to eat dry toast for the same reason.
Unwanted gunk in the throat?
I'm not going there.

Especially not at 8 years old. For shame.
@contrex,
Were you by any chance that naughty kid in the bed next to mine, who kept dropping his cutlery in order to make that blonde nurse in the short skirt bend over several times during luncheon?

So that gossip scrawled on the A2K toilet wall is not true then?
