@msolga,
C'mon, msolga, you know that women's bodies are foul (albeit sacred) and any talk about them could lead to, among other things, dancing.

@maxdancona,
But anyway, back to max's original post.

(I fear we've strayed a little bit.)

Quote:
The Speaker of the Florida House ( and I won't name political parties or genders here) got upset today because a member of the house used the word "uterus" as part of the debate.

The objectionable quote is amusing on its own

Quote:
And I always say their philosophy is small government for the big guy and big government for the little guy. And so, if my wife's uterus was incorporated or my friend's bedroom was incorporated, maybe they would be talking about deregulating.

This earned the admonition.

Quote:
... the Speaker believes it is important for all Members to be mindful of and respectful to visitors and guests, particularly the young pages and messengers who are seated in the chamber during debates. In the past, if the debate is going to contain language that would be considered inappropriate for children and other guests, the Speaker will make an announcement in advance, asking children and others who may be uncomfortable with the subject matter to leave the floor and gallery

Yes. Think of the children!

Everyone knows that in politics it's a "womb". Being a womb makes it holy and special. It's only a uterus when something is wrong with it. Nobody gets wombian cancer or has a prolapsed womb.

Was this John Boner? What the **** is wrong with this guy? I guarantee he and his wife have sex with their clothes on. Or they wear special "sex pajamas" or something. What a boring, puritanical milquetoast.

Also, if you're a Democratic congressman, I don't see how you possibly resist replying to Boner's statement with this: "Excuse me, Mr. Speaker? Point noted. However, you did just say 'member.'"

Grant took Delilah by the hand and led her to the fireplace, where they embraced. He felt a stirring in his loins as her soft lips pecked his neck. Her knees went weak when he whispered to her, "I've been thinking about your uterus all night long."

Look, don't you fools know that the stork brings babies. Some subversives believe babies are found in cabbage patches, which is really crazy since cabbage patches can't be found in all locales where babies suddenly appear. But "uterus"? What kind of nonsense is that? What language is that? We can't discuss that sort of misleading "uterus" mythology, mainly promoted by those wacko evolutionary theorists, in front of children, or impressionable adults. They shouldn't be exposed to such language or ideas.

Asking them to leave the floor and the gallery is too cumbersome and time consuming, particularly since it might involve many members of the House who have delicate sensibilities, I think they should all be simply instructed to cover their ears.
