New chat function?

DJ, the problem is that my current line of text disappears after about 3 seconds, and what is visible to me reverts back to what I could read before I typed my new message in.

New chat, still bounces back to visible text before I started current session.

The thing is, none of this happened yesterday morning when the new chat became available. No trouble, and I have not made any changes on my end.

By the afternoon, the trouble started. And, as you can see, others are having trouble, too. So, I know it's not me.

Again, I'm using Windows 7, Explorer 8.

By the way, if I 'Refresh', the new text shows momentarily, and reverts back to the text which was visible before I started.

Hmmm. I can scroll back fine today (I'm using the small version chat on the new posts page). When I put my mouse on the scroll bar, the cursor in the reply box goes away. (Safari)

Are you also reading threads in the forum and changing pages while you're in a "session"? I have to click in the chat window every time I change the page if I don't want it to autoscroll.

Yeh , I posted something this AM and just now. I feel like th chat feature has barred me cause my post shows up for about 3 seconds and then disappears.

Sounds like it might be a browser issue. (You guys both have Internet Explorer?) For me, on Safari, it works nicely.

Yeah, I've looked in a time or two. Looks like everyone is chatting about chat. Kind of like we sometimes have a rash of threads with people coming to a2k to talk about a2k.

If you use google chrome you will not experience those problems Reyn.

Me too (im on Explorer). I too have looked in on the chat and its such a new feature that theres nothing there of any substance (As Rog said, they are chatting about chatting). I can wait until whatever RG has to do to remedy it.
