She zips her slacks lying down.
What does this sentence mean? in an article entitled" a chronic dieter".

In the same way as one would do up buttons so a zip is done up in order to stop the pants falling down.

The subject is lying down (on her back) I assume then zipping up her pants (doing up the zipper.)

It is well known that it is easier to zip up a pair of very tight fitting pants whilst lying down.

I congratulate you on including the subject matter of the article.
