Today's subject: Plants

Throughout the ages man has studied plants and come up with some fairly wonderful ideas. Your assignment today is to post a photo of a plant and explain how a certain idea or invention was directly attributable to that particular plant.

For example:


A woman in Ohio in the early 1700's saw this plant and came up with the idea for bottle cleaners.

Another example:

Rastafarians saw this plant and were inspired to try a revolutionary new haircut.

Still another example:

Some fans on the way to a Lions versus Christians contest saw this plant and came up with the idea for "the wave"
