Hey, most men approach sex in the same way. Tongue in mouth, then two minutes at second base, a little tongue action at third and then ten minutes of the old in-out. The better ones do 20 minutes of in/out.

At work last week, I was reading a 'dear miss whatever' column, on break with a male co-worker.
The letter was a woman complaining about being a cheater, she goes and has a fling with a man.
She complains that her hubby might leave if he finds out. Stated something like this "What if my husband leaves me over 10 minutes of fun, 2 times a week with this other guy? It was the best sex of my life but will it be worth it?"

I laughed. Read the letter to my co-worker.

He asked why it was funny (?) I tell him , "Well, she has an affair and she picks a guy that is only going to give her 10 minutes? She's out to lunch! She probably doesn't even know any better, and now she's probably gonna lose her marriage over it?"

He didn't get it. He said " I don't see what is wrong with 10 minutes" (sad look on his face).

Laughing I tried to be compassionate and kept my mouth shut.

flush'd -- What's sadder is her statement that it (the 10 minutes) was the best sex she ever had in her life. I like about 40 myself.

What is even worse is she still wants her sexually inferior husband!!!

Well, Nick, what happens when the foreplay reveals bags of silicone. Isn't that a turn off?

Not at all! I regard implants the same as jewelry or makeup. Perhaps she had breast cancer or simply wanted to be more endowed. I like foreplay because it turns a woman on. Nothing turns me on more than a turned on woman!

I feel I need to put a disclaimer here for all the gentlemen to read.

Contrary to opinions expressed in the past few pages, not all women are distressed over periods of intercouse lasting 5 or 10 minutes. To reassure you; that does not make you sexually inadequate, and it certainly does not fall into the realm of sexual dysfunction by a long shot.

You are just fine, and shouldn't worry about it.

Hey Chai! What are you doing for the next 5 to 10 minutes?

well nick, you do appear to be a very considerate lover, regarding foreplay, and I wasn't including that desirable interlude in my disclaimer.

It just royally ticks me off when some women make personal attacks on a mans sexual performace, when in reality their performance is totally normal.

I'm sure telling the man he doesn't last long enough really helps the situation.

Everyone has insecurities about themselves at sometime, and a large part of that is thinking they are not living up to some arbitrary standard that isn't even agreed upon by everyone.

I joke around a lot here, but not about a persons private sexual life.

To add to this, I have found that with women, "sex" is often defined different than men. When they say they had sex for an hour or two hours or even ten hours straight or whatever, they are usually counting all this other **** that isn't even sex, like foreplay and kissing and licking and rubbing and fingers going into things and making sandwiches and stuff.

Exactly so kicky.

In fact, if a man were spending 40 minutes strictly doing the old in and out, I'd be wondering what was wrong.

Making love it like an all you care to eat buffet, a little of this, a little of that.

There's the love making part and the intercourse part. When I say the sex went on for 45 minutes, I mean the intercourse part. So there.

Okay, but surely you aren't saying that any less than that is sub-par, are you?

No, I'm not. Humor is nice as part of sex.

Without trying to be clever POM, what exactly ARE you saying?

Humor is nice as part of sex? Confused Are you saying that you think it's humorous when a man can't have intercourse for 45 minutes?

No joking, I can't believe you actually would call a man inadequate because of the amount of time they have actual intercourse. That just seems so....so hateful.

Do you also inform them if you don't think their penis is the "right" size?

One thing my husband tells me sometimes is "darling, you really know how to stroke my ego". That makes me very happy that I can say something to the man I love that makes him feel like even more of a man than he already is. And he's quite a man.

I don't know, it's just beyond me how anyone, not necessarily you POM, can say such castrating things.

I'm thinking not only of men that have been around, but young men that feel unsure of themselves and are just learning the ropes. That's just so unkind.

I'd be devistated if someone I cared enough about to have sex with critisized my body or performance in such a way that made me feel inadequate.

I don't really know why exactly, but I've been thinking of your comments on and off since you posted them the other day, and each time it really just makes me feel bad in the pit of my stomach, thinking that people actually say such cruel and untrue things.

Say whatever you want in response POM, I guess it's no secret I've always found you pretencious and stuffy, but that's just personality differences. I really didn't know you were cruel as well.

I think most men here would prefer to spend a non-sexual evening with me, than a sexual one with you. At least I'd make them feel adequate and worthy.

I agree that humor can be applied to ANY situation to make it more enjoyable. I try to add a little hormorous spice top my lovemaking. I will pick her up and say in a think French accent "Now my darling we shall make ze love!" Then I will throw her in the air and allow her to land gently on the bed...I won't go into further detail.
