Yep, I have a cold sore on my tongue. What's the best way to get rid of it?
It's not overwhelmingly debilitating, nor invasive in the extreme, but I do not like it much...I do not like it much at all...no I don't...I have a very sensitive tongue in fact.
@Chumly,
gargling with salt and hot water should do the trick...
@Region Philbis,
Thank you Region, what's your views on hydrogen peroxide as opposed to salt?
@Chumly,
never tried it for cold sores.
some info
here...
@Chumly,
That's a very unpleasant and painful problem. I sympathize with you.
I don't know that you can speed up the healing process, but you can find topical preparations at any drug store that are made to be used in the mouth for cold sores and irritations. They help to deaden the pain and annoyance at least temporarily. Try one and see if it helps.
@Chumly,
I've successfully used a pharmacy product called
Kanka:

@Chumly,
Hydrogen peroxide can be hard on the teeth. Use salt. The tongue is the fastest healer in the body.
@Ceili,
It's weird that if hydrogen peroxide is hard on teeth, it should be promoted to whiten them!
@Chumly,
roll your tongue in salt, suck a lime, and shoot tequila. repeat.
works every time...
@Chumly,
yup, but if you do it enough it will ruin the enamel and dentists only use it as a percentage of the formula, not full on.
@Chumly,
It's a bleach. Presumably it is used in diluted form.
@Chumly,
I can see my post...but does anyone else see it? The product works.
@Ragman,
Kanka...OK yes I saw your post...and I'm obliged.

How many degrees of roll? And what about the other tongue-flight-dynamics such as pitch and yaw and thrust and drag?
