Try to friendly them up, make them look human.

Sounds like a buzzword for the fashion or movie industry.

means:
Try to humanize them . . .
Try to make them look more friendly . .
Try to pretty them up . . .

(You) / try / to friendly them up

It's understandable (trying to make robots look more like humans), but it's not a common usage. I wouldn't recommend throwing it into conversation with most English speakers.
