In the seventies I toured Canada quite a bit...stationed out of Winnipeg....played hotels Mon-Thurs and went out on weekends as far east as Thunder Bay and as far west as Saskatoon. Cold as a witches tit at times...but beautiful...and the Canadian women I encountered, to a person, were hot enough to make up for the cold weather. Good times and good memories......
Busting all the baby boomers who ever smoked dope would also put a big dent in the SUV market. Hmmm....
I doubt they can devise a test for being impaired by pot.
But in any case, my remarks were occasioned by the comment that the cop smelled pot.
I do agree with all the reservations people have voiced, but bottom line in my book:
It ain't a good idea to toke while driving.
While I personally feel that our elected officials have to be held to a higher standard than a 'regular joe', I feel that the media needs to stay 'hands off' the families.
Politicians choose to get involved in their field and thus make themselves public figures and thus subject to media scrutiny. Their children were never consulted and had no choice on the life they were given and thus, in my opinion, should be thrown a little slack in their conduct.
Just my 2 cents, pre tax.
An opinion it would not have occurred to me anyone would express, and, in fact, a notion which had not occurred to me. Point well taken, Boss . . .

I disagree..I volunteer to participate in a "hands on" intervention for the Bush twins!
