I pull weeds, mulch, and clear the dead brush from the garden beds.
I split and replant from the sprouts whose heads crown out of the ground and
revel in the joy of my “free plant" bargains.


What means by “free plant bargains"?

Every spring, or whenever you decide to divide a plant, dig up the roots or bulbs and split it, you're left with more than the one you started with. It was free, it didn't cost a thing to get another plant or more. Except of course for the water, the fertilizer and the elbow grease... the work. lol
