Did Abraham Lincoln really say that?

The best suggestion, so far, comes from the history books. I believe it was
Abraham Lincoln who used to say "You can pay some of the bills all of the time, and all of the bill some of the time; but you can't pay all of the bills, all of the time."

Did Abraham Lincoln really say that? or just a joke here?

@PennyChan,
Joke.

Lincoln is supposed to have said "You can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you can't fool all the people all the time."

I take it you are reading a light hearted story about someone who is having trouble paying bills.
