"Start from scratch!"

Ba da bum <that's a rim shot>

Don't think I have ever talked to a man about hemorrhoids before - this would be a first for me ...yikes Laughing

ok, i just made this up right now and i don't know the solution

you are playing a game with a fair coin. if u flip it and it lands heads on the first try, you get one point. if it lands tails, you flip it again. if it lands heads on that second try, you get two points. so you keep flipping for n flips until the nth flip results in a heads at which point you get n points. if you play once, how many points do you expect to win Question
what if you get one point for the first flip, and 2^(n-1) points for the nth flip Question

THOH13'S GAME
[size=7]Part 1 is the sum, for i equals 1 to infinity, of i/(2^i), which is 2. You would expect 2 points.

Part 2 is the sum, for i equals 1 to infinity, of 1/2, which is infinity. You would expect an infinite number of points.

ooh that is so unfair Evil or Very Mad
Mark your last post, I had that as an answer but, it didn't fit how Try usually posts them. As in one word starts with the first letter and ends with the last.
That is tricky Mad Laughing Laughing

oops my fault. I was wrong. I see it now. He did post it the way I thought it should be. That is what I get for thinking Embarrassed Laughing

TTH:

SALICCGUHRTATLEY = slightly inaccurate Cool Cool

Mark:

SOLIPSISTER'S AGE
57 (14% reduction)

Due to the secrecy surrounding her real age, this was a most difficult problem. I think it could be argued Mark is correct, or even there may other ways to determine a solution. However, I believe the answer is: 64 years old.

64 years old less 12% = 56 rounded up.
56 less 12% = 49 rounded up.

The difference in this case between 64 and 56 is 8.

8 less 12% = 7 rounded up.

TPLERAACTYIFOULN = playful interaction Cool Cool

That is so unfair to answer your own question so fast. It was a real good one and I was gonna say:

Laughing

Miss mi; nice looking problem, I'm on the case! Drunk

Just sneaking in so as not to wake Miss mi…

The addition and subtraction sum shown below has had digits replaced by letters, with different letters for different digits. The second answer is incomplete, but it is a four letter word.

ADD + TAKE = AWAY

TAKE - ADD = D_T_

What is the four letter word Question
